Late in '94, I was hired by Walgreen Company as Production Manager/ Assistant Director for an Interactive Training Program which will be on-line in all Walgreen's Pharmacies nationwide. With less than 2 weeks prep time (including Thanksgiving week!) for a 2 week shoot beginning after store hours at 10 p.m., the challenge was to coordinate and manage 51 actors arriving in 2 shifts per night -- 10:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. (luckily they weren't all scheduled in the same night!). The biggest challenge, however, was getting sleep during the day since construction had just begun on 26 townhomes next door!
